Aging of ceria nanocubes and polycrystalline octahedral particles induces the formation of similar particle geometries whose activity is correlated to the exposed crystal faces and to the number and extension of edges and corners. This enables a better understanding of the relationship between crystal morphology and catalytic performance of CeO2.
