A mesoporous ceria material synthesized via a template-assisted synthesis method could be a good catalyst for ODH reaction of EB to produce ST by using CO2 as a soft oxidant. CO2 not only favors the EB ODH reaction but also inhibits coke formation during the EB ODH reaction.
