O-Th-403-16 Syntheses of Sn-Beta Molecular Sieves for Biomass Conversion

Two appraoches were developed for the synthsis of active Sn-Beta catalyst for biomass conversion. By using a modified seeding method, the crystallization time for Sn-Beta can be greatly reduced to 6 hr. Furthermore, for the first time, a novel method for the direct synthesis of Sn-Beta without fluoride ions was described.
