Studies of Novel Catalysts for Transesterification of Ethylene Carbonate with Methanol to Co-Produce Dimethyl Carbonate and Ethylene Glycol

Co-production of dimethyl carbonate (DMC) and mono-ethylene glycol (MEG) has great industrial importance.  We describe the studies of novel catlaysts for both carbonation and transesterification. We discovered a strong correlation between catalyst performance and catalyst properties that will be discussed
