P-Tu-B-145 Probing Adsorptive and Catalytic Properties of a Single Site Sn Lewis Acid

Adsorptive and catalytic properties of Sn-silsesquioxane, a molecular analog of Sn-beta zeolite, were investigated. X-ray structures and NMR gave detailed pictures of its interactions with probe molecules. Catalytic activities as a Lewis acid and as a hydride shift reagent were demonstrated. This research opens an avenue to novel Sn-beta analogs.
