This work demonstrates the stable gas phase production of cyclohexene oxide by H2O2 over mesoporous TS-1. Based on our kinetic studies, we suggest that the gas-phase epoxidation follows the mechanism proposed for the liquid-phase reaction. We expect that this work will further open possibilities of utilizing H2O2 vapor for other oxidation reactions.
