In this work we correlate catalytic activity for ethanol steam reforming and the catalyst activity for H2O dissociation. We found that the catalyst activity for H2O dissociation is largely dependent on the support’s interaction with ZnO, which affects both the cobalt oxidation state and reaction pathway.
