A CuO-Co3O4-CeO2 ternary oxide catalyst outperforms both our Pd/ZrO2/SiO2 catalyst and a commercial DOC catalyst for CO oxidation in simulated exhaust while showing no signs of inhibition by propene.   This catalyst has great potential as a low-cost component in automotive exhaust streams of advanced combustion engines with low temperature exhausts.
