Catalytic Pathways for Carbon Dioxide Reforming of Methane on Ni Bi-Metallic Catalysts

C-H bond activation is the sole kinetically relevant step in CH₄ activation on Ni and Ni-M (M=Cu, Co, Fe, K) catalysts. Ni clusters decorated by Co bind CH_x* and H* more strongly and thus stabilize CH₄ activated complexes to a larger extent than other Ni-M (M=Fe, Cu, K) catalysts.
