Submillimeter eggshell Co/Al₂O₃ catalysts, optimal to be used in intensified modular Fischer-Tropsch reactors, have been synthetized, characterized and tested. The optimal design of the catalyst results in C₂₅₊ yields higher than those achieved by catalysts operating either under strongly mass transfer limited conditions or even under kinetically controlled regime.
