Aconitic acid hydro-cyclodehydration was investigated over Cu/Zn/Al catalysts in a continuous flow reactor. Depending on the catalyst composition and on the experimental conditions, the reaction can be tuned towards GVL or MTHF formation, with yields higher than 70%.
