Asymmetric Hydrogenation of Alpha-Amino Ester: A Spectroscopic View

This work presents in-situ FTIR observations of the asymmetric hydrogenation of α-amino ester and the adsorption of cinchonidine onto supported metal catalysts. Different FTIR techniques, including diffuse reflectance (DR), attenuated total reflectance, and transmission, provided comprehensive insights into the reaction.  An innovative DR reactor coupled with microfluidics is also introduced.
