It was reported for the first time by our groups that Mo2C is an efficient catalyst to selectively convert levulinic acid into γ-valerolactone. The support plays a fundamental role in the activity and stability of Mo2C: it is stable when supported in CNT but undergoes deactivation when supported on CNF.
