O-Th-407-16 Quasi-1D TiO2 Nanostructures Prepared By PLD for Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting Applications

The functionality of novel photoanodes based on TiO2 nanostructured assemblies prepared by Pulsed Laser Deposition towards photoelectrochemical water splitting process was investigated. Under UV conditions open vertical oriented morphologies resulted in photocurrent efficiencies up to 8%, thanks to optimized values of total surface area, porosity, crystallinity and electrical transport properties.
