CaO As Drop-in Colloidal Catalysts for the Synthesis of Higher Polyglycerols

We have developed an elegant method for the synthesis of drop-in CaO-based colloidal catalysts, which have practical applications in upgrading glycerol to polyglycerol, and may be more broadly applicable as heterogenized base catalysts in general. The polyglycerol mixture obtained has applications in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry.
