Novel Pathways to Fuels and Lubricants from Biomass

We report a novel way to produce a mixture of alkyl cylcohexanes in very high yield (>94%) that match or exceed the required properties of diesel and jet, and of lubricants. As starting materials we use a mixture of alkyl methyl ketones obtained from biomass.
