The acid-catalyzed cracking of n-hexane over H-ZSM-5 showed qualitative differences from that observed on H-MOR, H-BEA and USY under high-pressure conditions. At high pressures, rates on H-ZSM-5 show much higher pressure dependencies and higher activation energy. The reaction rates on H-ZSM-5 were also much less susceptible to deactivation by coking.
