Noble metal-containing catalysts have been proposed as an alternative to copper for the conversion of methanol to H2. In this work platinum nanoparticles were dispersed on ceria and titania nanostructures following impregnation and deposition-precipitation methods and the catalytic performance was investigated for the steam reforming of methanol.
