Atomic-Scale Characterization of Bimetallic Catalysts

Atomic-scale characterization using TEM and XPS are presented for determination of the structural stability of bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs), specifically,Ni-Co core-shell and PtCu nanocubes. The NPs’ morphology was observed in real-time with simultaneous acquisition of elemental maps under elevated temperatures and/or gaseous environments.
