P-W-B-106 Aerobic Oxidative Esterification of Benzyl Alcohol over Gold Supported on Nanostructured Ceria-Alumina Mixed Oxides

Gold nanoparticles supported on nanostructured Ce-Al oxides showed much better performance in the aerobic oxidative esterification of benzyl alcohol than those supported on individual oxides.  The strong synergetic effect was explained by the enhanced oxygen storage capacity of the materials prepared from mixed oxides as compared to pure oxides.
