Supported functional polymers are of importance in many catalytic and adsorbent applications. Here we characterize the morphology and diffusional characteristics of polyethyleneimine in the pores of SBA-15 silica using neutron scattering techniques and discuss consequences for use of this material as an adsorbent and as a selectivity-modifying hydrogenation catalyst support.
