Preparation and Characterization of SiO2 Supported Palladium Catalyst with High Thermal Stability Using Pd(acac)2 As Precursor

We report the synthesis of a well-dispersed Pd/SiO₂ catalyst with Pd loadings between 0.5 and 5.0 wt% by using a simple impregnation method with palladium bis-acetylacetonate as the Pd precursor. The mean size of Pd particles was found to remain at approximately 3 nm even after calcination at 800 C.
