Methanol activity on tungsten oxide surface was studied under steady state reaction condition while DME synthesis was processed by exchanging CD3OH/CH3OH input. Results show the surface methanol/methoxy species isotope exchange rates is at least 100 times faster than their isothermal desorption rates.
