In this work membrane reactors are fabricated from metal oxide and perovskite materials, and tested for conversion and selectivity of methane to C2 products.  Larger conversions are shown for mixed conductors such as lanthanum gallate based perovskite membranes versus yttria stabilized zirconia membranes, with selectivities over 50%.
