The effect of Pt loading during APR of xylitol and sorbitol was studied. The Pt content plays an important role over the initial selectivity towards gas-phase products. However, similar H2 yield was achieved when using 1.5 or 2.77 % Pt/Al2O3 showing that there is not necessary to overloading the Al2O3.
