Activity in isomerization of n-hexane is proportional to the amount to Al atoms in BEA structure. At reduction temperatures higher than 673 K, the reduction degree of Ni in bimetallic Pt/Ni catalysts does not influence the activity. The rate-limiting step must be the protonation of n-hexane on the acid sites.
