We report on the low temperatures (100-250 oC) oligomerization of 1-butene over H-Ferrierite. The catalyst activity and stability increase with increasing butene partial pressure, and with the addition of a hydrocarbon solvent. The olefins selectivity increases with decreasing reaction temperature. The products follow an Anderson Shulz Flory chain growth model.
