Supported Gold Catalysts Decorated with Ti-Oxo Clusters of Different Nuclearity in the Selective Oxidation of Propane with H2 and O2

Ti coordination numbers alone is insufficient to explain the selectivity change from acetone to propene as nuclearity of Ti increased. The better understanding of the roles of Ti-oxo species on supported Au catalysts in selective oxidation of propane will provide insight into other catalysts for selective oxidative reaction of alkanes.
