P-Mo-B-22 Optimization and Scale-up of the Rotary Calcination Processes

Two important indices for continuous calcination are the characteristic time in the cross-sectional direction and the residence time in the calciner.  A combination of experiments and discrete element method simulations provide insight into the effects of operating conditions, geometry design, and material properties on residence time and heat transfer time.
