Electrochemistry of oxygen has technological importance in fuel cells, electrolyzers and metal-air batteries. We will develop a theoretical understanding of the underlying processes associated with oxygen electrochemistry with protons and lithium, and show implications for fuel cell catalysis and cathode electrochemistry of Li-O2 batteries.
