High Silica Zeolites (HSZ) of CHA Structure As a Superior Catalyst for Methanol to Olefin (MTO) Process

An 8-member ring high silica zeolite, HSZ of CHA structure, high BET > 650 m²/g and low acidity, < 0.2 mmol/g, has been prepared and tested for mthanol to olefin (MTO). HSZ's superior performance as opposed to SSZ-13 and SAPO-34 in terms of olefin selectivity and catalyst life is presented.
