O-Th-A-1 Effect of Support on Acetic Acid Decomposition over Palladium Catalysts for Hydrogen Production

The effect of support on the  acetic acid decomposition over palladium catalysts for hydrogen production was investigated. Pd/SiO2, Pd/Nb2O5, Pd/La2O3 and Pd/Fe2O3 catalysts were  characterized and catalytically evaluated.   Pd/Fe2O3 was the best catalyst for acetic acid conversion and showed major hydrogen selectivity, whereas for Pd/SiO2 there was not any H2 formation.
