Non-oxidative methane dehydroaromatization (DHA) over Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts offers a direct route to produce benzene and hydrogen. However, the reaction is thermodynamically unfavorable below 600 °C, thus giving rise to low product yields. This work has demonstrated that palladium membranes significantly enhance methane conversion to benzene by hydrogen removal.
