Pt- and Pd-promoted W-Zr mixed oxide was investigated for low temperature passive NOx adsorber applications. The Pd-promoted W-Zr exhibited superior NOx storage and desorption behavior relative to the Pt analog, such that nearly 95% of stored NOx was thermally released below 350 ^oC.
