An Investigation into the Vapor Phase Deoxygenation of Bio-Oil Model Compounds over Monometallic, Bimetallic, and Metal Phosphide Catalysts

In this work a series of catalysts was prepared using novel solution phase synthesis techniques and evaluated for the vapor phase upgrading of bio-oil model compounds. The results suggest that these materials are capable of enhanced deoxygenation and improved selectivity when compared to a commercially obtained Pt/SiO₂ catalyst.
