Preparation of Pd-Ag/SiO2 Bimetallic Catalysts By Galvanic Displacement

Galvanic displacement offers the ability to synthesize a bimetallic surface with Pd existing possibly as monodispersed Pd atoms which are very interactive with surrounding Ag sites. A series of Pd-Ag/SiO₂ bimetallic catalysts was prepared to compare the performance and the nature of the bimetallic effect for selective hydrogenation of C₂H₂.
