P-W-B-9 Synthesis of Mg/Al Double Hydroxide Nanoscrolls from Hydrotalcites

Mg/Al double hydroxide nanosheets derived from hydrotalcites are formed into nanoscrolls. Synthesized nanoscrolls show unique morphology and calcination of these nanoscrolls yielded Mg/Al mixed oxides with a high BET surface area (509 m2/g) and basic sites. Thus, the results indicate high potential of the synthesized materials for catalytic applications.
