Lignin is a valuable source of chemicals and energy that can be accessible by oxidative degradation. Several hybrid materials with potential high activity in the oxidative degradation of lignin were synthesized. These catalysts are able to operate under mild conditions using clean oxidants, such as air and H2O2.
