The development of a single-source molecular precursor route to metal phosphide NPs has enabled the preparation of solid, phase-pure Ni2P, Rh2P, and Pd3P NPs. The precursors used are air-stable, commercially available, and inexpensive. This methodology may be expanded to relevant metal phosphide NPs that are currently difficult to access.
