FTIR in combination with isotope labeling demonstrates that CHA.Cu is less reactive than a BEA.Cu catalyst in catalyzing NO oxidation and the subsequent formation of surface nitrate complexes, which explains the lower N2O formation on the CHA.Cu catalyst.
