N2O Formation in the Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx with NH3 on Zeolite Supported Cu Catalysts

FTIR in combination with isotope labeling demonstrates that CHA.Cu is less reactive than a BEA.Cu catalyst in catalyzing NO oxidation and the subsequent formation of surface nitrate complexes, which explains the lower N₂O formation on the CHA.Cu catalyst.
