P-W-B-96 OSDA-Free Synthesis of CHA Type Zeolite Catalysts for the Methanol-to-Olefins Reaction

CHA type zeolite is prepared from the hydrothermal interzeolite conversion of zeolite Y (FAU), dealuminated by steam and acid treatments, and evaluated as catalysts for the methanol-to-olefins reaction.  Dealumination conditions are found that produce a selective methanol to olefins catalyst and which is prepared without the use of OSDAs.
