O-W-A-3 Relating the Structure of Pt-Re Bifunctional Catalysts to Performance in Polyol Hydrogenolysis

The presence of acid sites on supported Pt-Re nanoparticles in water and the role of those sites in glycerol hydrogenolysis were investigated. The oxidation state of Re in Pt-Re was also evaluated by near-ambient pressure XPS. This work relates hydrogenolysis performance of Pt-Re catalysts to the state of Re.
