We report here a series of catalysts based on reducible Lewis-acidic metals and HBEA that show the ability to activate and incorporate H2 into hydrocarbon products at conditions that favor production of 2,2,3-trimethylbutane. Ga-, Cu-, and CuGa- modified HBEA catalysts are highlighted.
