Bifunctional Cu-based-HZSM5 catalytic systems were investigated to shed lights into the key functionalities that control their catalytic behavior in CO2 hydrogenation reaction. The results obtained demonstrate that the distribution of the active sites (metal-acid) and the reactor configuration play a fundamental role in order to obtain high yields in CH3OH/DME.
