Synthesis and Characterization of Au/ZrO2-CeO2 Catalysts: Use in MTBE Destruction by Catalytic Wet Air Oxidation

The mixed oxides synthesized by sol-gel method and with reference to the ZrO₂ showed an increase in surface area depending on the concentration of Ce. Gold catalysts prepared by deposition-precipitation method can be deposited as metal nanoparticles which can be used to destroy pollutants.
