In this study, materials and photoelectrochemical characterization is presented on highly dense and oriented hematite nanowire arrays that have been synthesized by atmospheric plasma within the time scale of seconds.  These arrays show a significant photoactivity of 380 μA/cm2 at 1.5 V vs. RHE and show promise for future study.
