Atomically dispersed Au/Pt on ZnO nanowires were successfully prepared and tested to be active for MSR reactions. Further optimization of the synthesis protocol may increase the area density of the single atoms. This study extends the applicability of single atom catalysis and may have potential applications in hydrogen production.
