Functional Group Contributions to Adsorption Heats of Molecules Relevant to Biomass Processing

One challenge in the processing of bio-oils is the competition of molecules in these complex mixtures for catalyst surface sites. We investigate a functional group contribution approach to describe the heats of adsorption of bio-oil relevant molecules on catalyst materials.
