End-Capping of Polybutadiene by Acrylamide via Olefin Metathesis

A new phenomenon is discovered that the end-capping of polybutadiene with acrylamide via olefin metathesis is conducted almost instantaneously at mild conditions and its activation energy is almost zero. A mechanism for this green route is proposed by taking account of the equilibrium among various types of C=Cs.
