P-Tu-Cle-13 A Kinetic and Thermodynamic Study of the Heterolytic Activation of H2 Using Frustrated Lewis Acid-base Pairs

Combining computational modeling and experimental time-resolved NMR and reaction calorimetry we are able to obtain both kinetic and thermodynamic data for the heterolytic activation of H2 by Frustrated Lewis Pairs.  This approach allows us to develop a fundamental understanding of the energy landscape describing the catalytic reduction of unsaturated substrates.
